Ever since I was little, I have always carried something to draw with me. From a bag of crayons and coloring sheets to today’s watercolor and graphite, I’ve always done my best to keep improving and keep working. For me, art is therapy, and it’s a chance for me to put my ideas and thoughts out in a way that others can see. I’ve continued art all my life, and even when I felt like everything I made was horrible, I have always found a way to get back to it. I think this is why my art keeps improving. Instead of giving up after a bad drawing (which I tend to create a lot more often than I’d like to admit), I try and give myself a fresh start. Maybe I’ll try drawing something I know I’m good at to encourage myself, or maybe I’ll try using a completely different medium or style. Whatever it is, I never give up. I always return to art.
My main goal as an artist is to create things that make people feel a certain way; something that has an effect on others, just like music. My art impacts me, and I want to share this impact with others.
